Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss, a bluegrass fiddler hailing from Tennessee, at the age of 19, became a national celebrity in 1990 after winning the Grammy Award to be the Best Bluegrass Album. It was a feat of awe in many ways, not just because Krauss was young, as well because I've Got That Old Feeling was the 3rd album in her catalog. Her debut album, Too Late to Cry came out when she was Champaign, Illinois, native was 16years old. She had signed a contract with Rounder Records, one of the most respected folk label in the business--at the age of 14. Krauss is known for her amazing virtuosity and achievements, even at such a young age. She is a fervent supporter of bluegrass music, one of the oldest and most under-appreciated types of music in the American culture, is an ongoing feature.
